Los Angeles Explodes in Celebration as Dodgers Claim Second World Series Championship
The City of Angels witnessed citywide celebrations after the Dodgers won a thrilling seven-game World Series title. Fans worldwide joined Angelenos in jubilation, marking the first time in 25 years that a team has achieved consecutive championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Enormous Crowds
Los Angeles area celebrations included a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and spontaneous parties throughout the city.
Social media videos depict thousands of Angelenos packing downtown streets, many carrying homemade signs and team flags. The team was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the masses, raising the Commissioner’s trophy high.
“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to do this,” Shohei Ohtani stated through an translator.
The procession path ended at Dodger Stadium, where the players walked out to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ providing music and the artist driving a light blue classic car around the field.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto, awarded the World Series’ Most Valuable Player, commented directly about the victory.

Mixed Reactions and City Unity
However, Mark Walter was met with a less warm reception at the celebration. Recordings from the gathering seem to depict Walter walking onstage to a mix of cheers and jeers, with negative shouts interrupting his address.
The World Series served as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for the city. An estimated 225,000 people attended to the championship parade last year, and according to team member one athlete, supporters this year demonstrated as much if not more support.
“I feel like it’s almost double from last year,” Freeman said. “The supporters are incredible. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
